The Governor of Saitama Prefecture of Japan, Kiyoshi Ueda, was received by To Huy Rua, Politburo member and Chairman of the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Parliamentary Group, on October 27.

The Party official took the occasion to thank Japan for the provision of official development assistance (ODA) loans to Vietnam.

As bilateral ties between the two countries are gaining momentum , he expressed his hope to receive more help from Japan in terms of infrastructure construction and administrative procedure reform.

The host also suggested Saitama prefecture continue to foster its cooperation with Vietnam’s localities.

On his part, Kiyoshi Ueda spoke highly of the investment environment in Vietnam, noting that 62 enterprises from his prefecture have run projects in Vietnam. He said Saitama will encourage more investment in Vietnam, especially in the field of machinery manufacturing, recycling and construction.-VNA
