A representative of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has highlighted southern Binh Duong province’s investment environment and its great potential for development.

Hiroshi Tsuchiya, Deputy Director of the Japanese ministry’s Industry Planning and Service Section, made the remark during his fact-finding tour, accompanied by major Japanese groups, to explore the investment environment in Binh Duong on March 1.

Although Japan ’s investment flow into Binh Duong is slower than in other countries, the ministry will speed up the pace of its projects in the province, said Tsuchiya.

Chairman of the Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee Le Thanh Cung spoke highly of Japan ’s investment projects in the province which, he said, have brought high economic effectiveness and generated more jobs and stable income for local workers.

The province needs strategic investors with large capital in its urbanisation process in the next six to seven years to make Binh Duong become a city under central management, said Cung.

Binh Duong supports Japanese investors and creates the most favourable conditions for effective business projects, he added.

The same day, the Japanese delegation held a working session with the Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (Becamex IDC) to promote specific projects of Japanese groups wanting to contribute to building a new Binh Duong city./.
