Pupils at Tomigaya primary school in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, had the chance to learn about Vietnam and its culture by holding an international exchange day on October 30.
The schools Headmaster, Ryoichi Ozawa, said the event was to increase Japanese pupils’ knowledge on Vietnam , to help them learn more about the global environment.
By furthering the pupils’ knowledge on Vietnam and its people, the relationship between the two countries will also be strengthened, he said.
Vietnam ’s Ambassador to Japan , Doan Xuan Hung said he hopes that Japanese and Vietnamese schools will organise more useful exchange programmes like this.
At the event, the pupils gave presentations of what they had learnt about Vietnam and its natural and cultural heritages as well as its traditional games and cuisine.-VNA
