Thua Thien – Hue (VNA) – Hidenori Ushio from Japan sent a letter of thanks to the Criminal Police Office of the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on June 21 for recovering his missing assets.

In the letter, he said he was very surprised and moved when the Vietnamese public security forces enthusiastically helped him reclaim his missing assets in a short time, which was memorable during his trip in the country.

Earlier, Ushio unintentionally left a wallet with valuable papers and cashes in a taxi. He later sent a letter of notification to the provincial police asking for support.

Upon receiving the notification, the police searched the taxi driver and found a black leather wallet under a rear seat with all assets intact, including 1 million VND, 435 USD, 6,000 JPY, seven credit cards named after Ushio and other important papers.

The wallet has been returned to Ushio. -VNA
