The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Japan’s Yanmar Joint Stock Company on March 4 signed a one-year sponsorship deal.

Under the deal, whose value was not revealed, Yanmar will be the main sponsor of the Vietnam’s national and Olympic (U23) teams, enjoying interests in the friendly matches the VFF organises and holds commercial rights.

The Japanese company will have their advertising images and messages posted inside stadiums and on the background board in the news conference room. Their logo will also be displayed on the back of training shirts and tickets.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Tran Quoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the VFF, said the deal will provide additional resources for the development of the country’s football.

It also deepened the increasingly diversified cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in football, he added.

For its part, Yanmar’s representative Ken Araki said the company is continually willing to help the two football teams arrange training camps at Cerazo Osaka, a club in Japan’s second-tier football championship or the J-League Division 2.-VNA
