The Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform convened its sixth meeting in Hanoi on Aug. 10, focusing on projects to improve working conditions and develop human resources for the court and procuracy sectors.

President Truong Tan Sang, Head of the Committee, presided over the session.

According to the committee, the projects have met judicial reform requirements in various important areas such as finance, land, planning and investment, and information technology.

However, participants noted that the projects should be compiled in a careful manner before submission to competent agencies, ensuring that they are suitable for the country’s socio-economic situation and lay a foundation for the perfection of the legal system and the performance of judicial reform tasks.

The projects have proposed important solutions to create better facilities for investigation and judgement activities. They have also made recommendations on new mechanisms and policies to improve capacity of the staff, contributing to the judicial reform process.

President Sang asked the steering committee and representatives of relevant ministries and sectors to give their opinions on issues regarding infrastructure improvement and personnel training for the court and procuracy sectors.-VNA
