The Junior Traditional Wrestling Tournament is taking place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture in the outskirt of Hanoi from August 9 – 12.

The event, the 20th of its kind, gathers more than 100 athletes from all over the country to compete in 14 weight categories.

Vietnamese traditional wrestling is not about physical wrestling, but Vietnamese culture.  The traditional martial art has been around for more than 1,000 years. It is practiced throughout the nation, usually during spring festivals. The game usually creates an exciting atmosphere and draws big audiences.-VNA
