Hanoi (VNA) – Leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong-un had a strategy meeting with DPRK top negotiators soon after arriving in Hanoi on February 26 for his second meeting with US President Donald Trump, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

The DPRK state news agency on February 27 posted a picture on Kim working with the negotiators, Special Representative for US affairs from the State Affairs Commission Kim Hyok Chol and head strategy at the United Front Department (UFD) of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) Kim Song Hye.

Attending the meeting, which took place in the Melia hotel, was also Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho and Deputy Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui.

At the meeting, Kim listened to reports on the contact between the working delegations dispatched by the DPRK and the US to Hanoi for the second DPRK-US summit.

For five consecutive days from February 21, Hyok-chol held his talks with his US counterpart Stephen Biegun in Hanoi to seek a reachable deal at the DPRK-US Summit Hanoi.

DPRK leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump are scheduled to have talks in Hanoi on February 27 and 28.-VNA
