The Executive Board of the Buddhist Sangha of the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum organised a ground- breaking ceremony for the Khanh Phuoc Tam Linh Buddhist Tourism Complex on Dak La commune on April 3.

The complex is designed to house a statute of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva with the height of at least 32 m, which will be the largest in the Central Highlands.

It will also house a three-storey tower to keep a copper bell weighting more than 1 tonne and a Rong house to display things featuring culture and history of ethnic minority groups in the province.

The Khanh Phuoc Tam Linh Buddhist Tourism complex is estimated to cost 12 billion VND./.
