The festivals were revived almost totheir original forms excluding some out-dated practices by localvillage patriarchs and communities themselves, and will be held annuallyfrom now on.
Among the festivities are the Cha Kcha(burning-charcoal swallowing) festival of the Gie Trieng ethnic group,the Xo Dang’s M’ne (thanksgiving) festival, and Chong O Bon H’Lu (riceharvesting) of the B’Rau.
The revival of thefestivals has helped preserve the traditional cultural environment andthe intangible cultural heritage of the ethnic communities.-VNA
