Central Highlands Lam Dong province has provided an additional financial aid worth 8 billion VND to build new facilities in its funded school in the southwestern Lao province of Champasak.

The Champasak-Lam Dong Friendship School , built at a cost of 14 billion VND and inaugurated in late 2010, is seen as a typical project under a cooperation programme between the two localities.

As part of the programme, Lam Dong province sent teachers to the school for teaching Vietnamese, while accommodating it with experimental equipments and textbooks.

Along with educational linkage, the two localities also fostered cooperation in the area of agricultural development using advanced technologies, which is the strength of Lam Dong.

The Central Highland province has transferred high-tech production methods in vegetable and flower growing for Pak-song district of Champasak. It also offered six training courses in the field for almost 300 Lao households and students.-VNA
