Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment plans to inspect the management and use of land in 24 cities and provinces between 2016 and 2020.

Inspectors will look for illegalities at communal and district levels in three provinces – Phu Tho in the north, Ha Tinh and Khanh Hoa in the central region – in 2016 and 2017. Five provinces and cities will have their administration procedures on land assessed.

In 2018, the inspection will focus on industrial parks and economic zones in six provinces and cities – Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Binh Dinh, Dong Nai, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2019, it will expand to enterprises operating outside industrial parks in Bac Giang, Ha Nam, Hai Duong, Nghe An, Binh Duong and Tay Ninh.

In 2020, land for rice farming in Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Quang Ngai, Long An and Hau Giang will be examined.

The inspection will help boost law enforcement and improve land usage policies.-VNA
