A delegation from the Lao National Academy of Politics and Public Administration (LNA) led by its director Kikeo Khaykhamphithoun is on a Vietnam visit to seek cooperation with the Vietnamese side.

During the visit, on November 18, the delegation was received by Politburo member Dinh The Huynh, head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Education and Popularisation, who spoke highly of bilateral cooperation between LNA and its Vietnamese counterpart Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration (HNA) over the past time.

He said he hopes that the two academies will collaborate to effectively implement reached cooperation agreements and further experience exchange in personnel training, scientific research and information. He affirmed that Vietnam will do its best to uphold the special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam .

Expressing delight at Vietnam ’s great achievements, Kikeo Khaykhamphithoun, who is also member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, briefed his host on the outcomes of his talks with the leaders of the HNA on the same day, during which the two academies struck a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the 2014-2018 period.

During the visit, the Lao delegation will tour Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao district of the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.-VNA
