He told the delegation—led by Minister Pham Thi HaiChuyen—that their working visit would contribute to boosting bilateralfriendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between theparties, states and people of Vietnam and Laos.
For her part, Chuyen thanked the Lao government and people for their warm reception.
She also affirmed that the two countries are set to deploy theVietnam-Laos labour cooperation pact to boost programmes on labour,welfare and personnel training.
The 4th Vietnam-Laoslabour and social welfare ministerial meeting took place in Vientiane onthe day, highlighting the close and effective engagement between thetwo agencies.
Participating officials informed each other ontheir countries’ current policies and laws related to the workforce andsocial welfare.
Appreciating the achievements resulting fromtheir cooperation in recent years, they discussed measures to addressobstacles to improving ties in social security, insurance and vocationaltraining, among others.
Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen and herLao counterpart Onchan Thammavong agreed that their inter-ministerialaffiliation has grown in quality and scale in line with the specificneeds of each nation.-VNA
