Lao leaders receive NA ethnic affairs delegation

A delegation from the National Assembly Council of Ethnic Affairs led by its Chairman Ksor Phuoc was received by Lao NA Chairwoman Pani Zathotou and President of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC)’s Central Committee Phanduongchit Vongsa in Vientiane on April 7.

Phuoc congratulated the Lao people on their reached achievements and on their country’s traditional Bunpimay festival.

He informed Lao leaders of the outcomes of his delegation’s talkswith the LFNC, during which, he said, the two sides highly valued theirpractical cooperation, especially in their exchanges of visits andexperience.

Both agreed to work closely withrelevant agencies to supervise the implementation of signed agreementson ethnic affairs and promote socio-economic development projects andprogrammes in mountainous and ethnic minority areas along the twocountries’ border, Phuoc added.

The Lao leadersexpressed their hopes that the two countries will continue fosteringcooperation and experience sharing in issues related to ethnic affairs,contributing to nurturing the two countries’ special friendship.

The Vietnamese NA delegation is in Laos from April 5-9.-VNA
