The sixth ordinary session of the seventh Lao National Assembly (NA) successfully concluded on December 27 with many important national issues being approved during 15 days of sitting.
NA deputies adopted a Government report on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and State budget in the 2012-2013 fiscal year, as well as its target and plan for 2013-2014.
They also approved a report on auditing the 2011-2012 State budget plan and the establishment of Xaysomboun province.
During the session, the NA also passed 14 laws, including 6 new ones.
The closing ceremony of the session saw the attendance of Laos’ Party General Secretary and President Choummaly Saynhasone, Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong, and NA Chairwoman Pany Zathotou.-VNA
