During the 14-day deliberations, the NA had agreed with a proposal made by the Lao government to revise down the country’s GDP growth rate for the 2008-2009 fiscal year to 7.5 percent from the initially-set target of 8 percent.
The NA endorsed the 2009-2010 socio-economic development plan, and the 2009-2010 budget plan.
At the session, the NA also approved laws on the Lao Front for National Construction, investment promotion, fishery and water supply./.
