Laos all set for hosting 35th AIPA General Assembly

During a press conference in Vientiane on September 9, Vice Chairman of the Lao NA’s Committee for External Relations, Bounnhong Boupha, said Laos has done everything it can to ensure the success of the event.
The participating countries’ flags have been hung along the city’s main streets, including Kaysone Phomvihane and Souphanouvong Avenues, along with welcome banners, he said.
Sub-committees have been formed to ensure reception, communications, health care, and security services are all run smoothly, he said.
The agenda for the 35 th General Assembly of AIPA has also been devised, while draft resolutions prepared by the Women Parliamentarians of AIPA (WAIPA) and various committees have been sent to participants, he added.
This is the second time Laos hosts an AIPA General Assembly.-VNA
