The Cambodian Deputy PM, who is on a four-day working visit to Laos until Dec. 23, made the statement at a reception given by Lao Vice State President Bounyang Vorachith in Vientiane on Dec. 21.
Lao Vice President Bounyang Vorachith spoke highly of the Cambodian delegation’s visit which he said would contribute to enhancing bilateral ties, especially in defending the common border.
Also on Dec. 21, Lao Minister of Information and Culture Mounkeo Oraboun and visiting Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Arts Him Chhem signed a memorandum of understanding on cultural cooperation. Under the MoU, the two countries will jointly organise cultural events, including photo exhibitions and book fairs, exchange delegations’ visits, share experiences and information, preserve cultural heritages and promote the protection of intellectual property rights./.
