Bermudez paid an official visit to Laos on June 22-23, aiming to tighten
the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
At a meeting between the Cuban official and Lao Vice President Bunnhang Volachit, the two leaders briefed each other on the situation in each country and made a review of the bilateral cooperation in the past time.
They stressed that the two countries will try their best to strengthen the traditional friendship and cooperation.
Measures to further develop the bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of common concern were also discussed by the two leaders.
The Cuban official said his country will further help Laos in the fields of human resources training, sports and health care.-VNA
