Laos honours VN religious affairs officials

A ceremony to award Lao orders to officials from the Vietnamese Government’s Committee for Religious Affairs took place in Hanoi on August 14.
A ceremony to award Lao orders to officials from the VietnameseGovernment’s Committee for Religious Affairs  took place inHanoi on August 14.

At the ceremony, thePresident of the Lao Front for National Construction’s (LFNC) CentralCommittee Phanduongchit Vongsa presented the Issara Order, second class,to former head of the Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyen The Doanh and his deputy Nguyen ThanhXuan.

He also granted the Issara Order, third class,to deputy head of the Committee for Religious Affairs Pham Huy Tho, and the Labour Order, first andsecond class, to the Department of International Cooperation and theCentre for Religious Affairs Training and Research, respectively.

On the occasion, the LFNC Central Committee also presented insigniamarking the 60 th anniversary of LFNC to 20  officials from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and head of the Committee for Religious Affairs Pham Dung said that the committee always attaches importance to strengtheningties with the LFNC, including regular exchanges of delegations andhosting training courses for LFNC officials.

Cooperation in religious affairs between the Committee for Religious Affairs and LFNC has helped enhancethe traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between bothParties and nations, said Dung.

PhanduongchitVongsa said he hoped that both sides will step up the sharing ofexperiences on ethnic affairs and expand bilateral cooperation in thefuture.-VNA

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung’s official visit to Cambodia on October 9-10, at the invitation of Prime Minister Hun Manet, marks a particularly significant diplomatic milestone. It underscores the consistent priorities of Vietnam’s foreign policy in the new term, including proactive engagement, strengthened political trust and a stronger focus on translating bilateral commitments into tangible outcomes.

Prime Minister meets with Cambodian People's Party, Senate leader

To further advance bilateral ties in the new era, the two leaders agreed to continue making full use of existing cooperation mechanisms across all channels, including meetings between the two Parties, promote exchanges between young leaders and youth from both countries, and expand cooperation between their legislative, executive and judicial bodies, people’s organisations and localities.

Vietnam, Cambodia seek to bolster all-round ties

The two PMs expressed their satisfaction with the positive development of Vietnam-Cambodia relations in recent years. Political ties have continued to be consolidated, with political trust strengthened through regular high-level visits and contacts.

PM arrives in Phnom Penh, starting official visit to Cambodia

This is PM Hung’s first official visit to Cambodia. It holds particular significance, demonstrating the high priority that the Party, State and Government of Vietnam attach to relations with Cambodia and contributing to further deepening the bilateral ties of “good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability”.
