The 31-year-old man living in Bolikhamxay province died on July 18. He was tested positive with the A/H1N1 strain of influenza.
Laos had by July 22 recorded the country’s total A/H1N1 flu cases of 56 people with five new cases confirmed on July 21 and 22.
There have been eight provinces and cities nationwide reported A/H1N1 flu patients, including Vientiane capital city, and Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Bolikhamxay, Salavan and Savannakhet provinces.
The landlocked country reported its first infection on June 15./.
