These remarks were made by Vice Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Saysomphone Phomvihane at a reception for a visiting delegation from the Economic Committee of Vietnam’s National Assembly (NA) led by its deputy head Nguyen Van Phuc in Vientiane, on July 22.
This assistance has helped Laos gain high growth, he said, affirming that Vietnam and Laos need to find appropriate measures to foster their comprehensive cooperation as hoped.
For his part, Phuc said the Vietnamese delegation’s visit from July 21-25 aims to enhance mutual cooperation between the two NA committees, learn about Laos’ experience in foreign investment attraction, and promote Vietnamese businesses’ investment cooperation in the neighbouring country.
He suggested Laos’ NA and competent agencies work closely with the Vietnamese side to further boost bilateral investment cooperation, thus contributing to fostering the sustainable development of the special friendship and solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.-VNA
