Customs and police officers at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City seized a consignment of military weapons smuggled in on a flight from Turkey, the Tan Son Nhat airport customs office said on July 31.
The contraband, including 94 pistols and 472 cartridge belts, is reportedly smuggled from the Czech Republic via Turkey.
The municipal Department of Customs and the General Economic Security Department (A85) are investigating the case.-VNA
