The construction of a large boundary marker on the Vietnam and Laos border started on January 10.

Marker No 476 is one of 53 border markers which will be built in a project to reinforce and upgrade the system of border markers along the 145-km border line between Ha Tinh province in central Vietnam and the Laotian provinces of Bolikhamsai and Khammouane.

The 1.6-metre granite marker will be located in the middle of a 380-sq-metre compound between the Cau Treo and Nam Phao border gates. The 3.8 billion VND project is expected to be finished in three months./.
