The world’s largest solar-powered tourist cruiser has anchored at Nha Trang city, in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa , after arriving from Hong Kong.
The cruiser MS Turanor PlanetSolar will dock at the coastal city from August 29 to September 1 as part of a voyage around the world since last September.
According to Nha Trang port authorities, the 85-tonne ship’s visit aims to deliver a message about using solar energy and renewable energies for the environment, as well as promoting research on energy for maritime activities.
During its time in port, the ship will receives some local visitors and after leaving Nha Trang, it will travel to Singapore .
The 31m-long and 16m-wide cruiser MS Turanor PlanetSolar has solar energy cells covering over 500 sq.m.. It was designed to have a maximum speed of 25km per hour./.
