Rescue forces, by 4 am of May 23, found the body of the last victim aboard a boat that capsized on May 20 night on the Saigon river in the southern province of Binh Duong.

The body of nine-year-old boy, Pham Xuan Khanh, was discovered inside the engine room of boat 72K BD 0943, after two days of searching.

Divers had assumed that the cover of the engine room was broken when the boat sank and that made the boy stuck there when he fell into it.

Khanh’s body was handed over to his family for burial service.

The two-storey boat, managed by the local Din Ky Tourism Company, was carrying at least 26 people in a birthday party when the tragedy happened in the evening of May 20 due to strong wind accompanied by heavy rain.
The tragedy claimed 16 lives, including four Chinese.

The boat is planned to be taken ashore on May 23 for relevant agencies to make further investigations into the cause of the accident./.
