A delegation of the National Assembly’s Committee for Social Affairs, headed by Truong Thi Mai, member of the NA Standing Committee has been on a working visit to India from Dec. 13-21.

The visit is made at the invitation of the Indian Association of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (IAPPD) with the aim to exchange experiences on building and monitoring the implementation of laws on healthcare, particularly policies for farmers and the poor.

The Vietnamese delegation had working sessions with leaders of IAPPD and the Ministers of Health and Social Welfare and Labour.

They were received by the Deputy State President and Senate President, Mohammad Hamid Ansri and met with leaders of New Delhi and the States of Biha, Maharashtra and Haryana.

The Vietnamese delegation also visited some State-owned and private hospitals, and medical establishments./.
