Igo Stravinsky’s ballet and orchestral work Le Sacre du Printemps (the Rite of Sprintemp) will be presented at Ben Thanh Theatre, Ho Chi Minh City on June 27.
The ballet by the famed Russia composer is about a young girl chosen as a sacrificial victim who dances herself to death after various primitive rituals celebrating the advent of spring.
The work’s choreography is by French Jean Claude Gallotta, Director of the Grenoble National Choreographic centre.
The ballet will be preceded by two shorts Tunulte and Pour Igo.-VNA
