Vientiane (VNA)Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung led a delegation to the headquarters of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations on March 19 to congratulate the Party on its 65th founding anniversary.

At the meeting hosted by member of the LPRP Central Committee and head of the commission Sounthone Sayachak, Hung conveyed a letter of congratulations of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee  to the LPRP Central Committee, and baskets of flowers of CPV General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong to his Lao counterpart Bounnhang Vorachith, former Party Chairman and President Khamtay Siphandone, and former Party General Secretary and President Choummaly Sayasone.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese diplomat also handed over a congratulary message of Hoang Binh Quan, member of the CPV Central Committee and head of its Commission for External Relations, to his Lao counterpart Sounthone Sayachak.

Thanking Vietnam for its congratulations, Sounthone Sayachak said that the Lao Party, State and people always bear in mind the support by the Vietnamese side for the country’s achievements.

Laos will do its utmost to consolidate and tighten the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and States and their people, she added.

Congratulating Laos on its achievements over the past 65 years under the leadership of the LPRP, Ambassador Hung said that cooperation between the two Parties over the past time is a decisive factor for all victories of the two countries’ revolutions as well as their national building and development causes.

Vietnam consistently attaches importance to nurturing the bilateral relations, he affirmed, believing that the two countries will overcome all difficulties and fulfil all set socio-economic development targets./.
