Hong Kong's Lee Ho Ching and the Republic of Korea's Kim Kyung Min won gold medals in the women's and men's singles events at the Golden Paddle International Table Tennis Championships.
Top seed Lee had to work hard to beat Kim Yeon Ryeong of the Republic of Korea 11-9, 11-7, 5-11, 11-4, 7-11, 10-12, 11-7 in the women's singles final, which was played on July 20 at Phan Dinh Phung Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City.
Kim also needed five sets to overcome his compatriot, Lee Sun Sang, in an all-Korean final, whose final score was 11-7, 8-11, 11-8, 6-11, 12-10, 9-11, 11-5.
Earlier on July 19, the Republic of Korea also took the gold medal in the men's team event with a 3-0 win over Vietnam A. Hong Kong won the gold medal in the women's team event.-VNA
