Domestic and international legislators and legal researchers are gathering in the central province of Khanh Hoa’s Nha Trang city to attend a workshop to exchange experiences in finalising a legal system.

Topping on the agenda was gaining insight from the process of making the constitutions of the UK, France, Russia, Australia, the Republic of Korea, the US and other European countries.

Participants at the workshop discussed issues related to the referendum, and methods of authoring and amending a constitution, as well as procedures to consider and approve it.

They also shared their opinions and analysis on how to create a modern constitution, suitable to Vietnam’s socio-economic development.

The outcome of the meeting is expected to serve as a basis for research by Vietnam’s National Assembly in its efforts to carry out the strategic reform of the country’s legal system in the coming time./.
