LG Electronics unveils LG ThinQ Home, where innovation becomes everyday life hinh anh 1

The house of the future we've been dreamed of finally appeared before our eyes. LG Electronics built a three-story and one basement level LG ThinQ Home in Pangyo New Town in Gyeonggi-do, taking a total floor area of about 500sq.m.

It took about one year of preparation period from planning to land purchase and construction work to complete it. LG Electronics made full efforts to express its vision "Life's Good from Home," enabling customers to enjoy a safer and more convenient life in the house.

This is the first case of LG Electronics' implementation of the LG ThinQ Home integrated solution, which combines innovative products like TVs and home appliances, IoT space solutions, and specialised energy solutions ranging from production, storage, and management to the space where customers live.

The LG ThinQ Home integrated solution helps customers fully focus on daily values with △Efficient use of energy (Zero Energy), △Zero Effort and △Zero Stress. This means that it goes a step further from simple energy-saving solutions and smartly managing energy-related devices in the house.

LG Electronics plans to use this place for introducing innovative products and integrated home solutions to global customers.

Filled with innovative products and solutions, caught all three rabbits, safety, convenience, and fun.

LG Electronics presents three values that customers can experience in their daily lives, safety, convenience, and fun with innovative products and solutions installed in LG ThinQ Home. In relation to this, you can get a glimpse of the concept of future home appliances that LG Electronics is envisioning.

As customers' daily lives are changing rapidly since COVID-19, the house is being considered as a safe place for many people, and a place where you can do many things conveniently, and a place where you can relax and enjoy leisure at the same time.

The entrance smart door recognizes visitors with facial recognition technology. It is hygienic because UV sterilisation technology was applied to the door lock handle.

The entrance serves as a clean zone to remove external contamination by installing a mobile phone steriliser, Styler, and air purifier. It reflects customers' high interest in hygiene.

Smart mirrors installed throughout the house show the state of home appliances in the house at a glance. Home appliance control, real-time monitoring of indoor environments, and customer schedule management can also be done.

LG Electronics has also decorated a home office space that includes ergonomic design and innovative technologies like 360 monitors and Gram notebooks. It is a space optimized for the demand to handle a lot of work at home more conveniently, perfect for working from home.

LG Electronics also unveiled Smart Wall that allows you to use the TV screen in various ways according to the installation space or situation. Usually, the 77-inch OLED TV is hidden behind the wall, and only part of the screen is exposed.

Customers can listen to music or check the time through this screen. When you have a video conference or watch a movie, the wall moves and the entire TV screen appears.

LG ThinQ Home also installed the future product concepts introduced by LG Electronics, such as body dryer in the bathroom, ventilation system for kitchens installed in the cooking area, and food waste processor and dishwasher installed inside the sink.

LG Electronics has created the dream space using 48-inch OLED TVs for game lovers. In addition, it presented Great Living Kitchen, a space theme in which the kitchen and living room become one with an ultra-premium kitchen appliance and an 88-inch LG OLED 8K TV. On the window, transparent OLED panel is applied to display various information requested by the user, enhancing the effects for both decoration and utility.

Massive application of energy solutions and smart home functions covering production-storage-management

LG Electronics has applied several specialised energy solutions to LG ThinQ Home ranging from energy production to storage and management.

This building, certified as a zero-energy building, has an energy self-sufficiency rate of 85 percent, the highest level for domestic residential buildings. The energy self-sufficiency rate refers to the ratio of production to energy consumption.

LG Electronics built BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) system in the LG ThinQ Home.  A total of 988 modules with the size of 90cm x 70cm and 90cm x 35cm were attached to the exterior wall and roof. Unlike conventional solar modules, this module is installed in a way that replaces the exterior wall finish, so it does not disturb the building design and the surrounding landscape.

ESS (energy storage system) stores the generated power and makes it available to customers when they need it. Parking lots have electric vehicle charging stations with power between car and house (V2H: Vehicle to Home) system installed to further increase the utilization of ESS.

Also, the DC/AC hybrid distribution board developed by LG Electronics maximizes the efficiency of generation, storage and use of new and renewable energy. With this distribution board, it can also be used for next-gen DC home appliances that reduce losses in energy conversion method.

Customers can also use HEMS (Home Energy Management System) that can manage the energy generation, usage, and storage in real-time with the smart mirror at home and mobile devices.

This system learns customer life patterns with LG ThinQ Home Solution. It predicts energy generation, storage, and usage in advance according to customer life patterns, and optimally controls energy according to each situation, such as sleeping, waking up, and going out.

In addition to home appliances, it can also control various home IoT products like lighting and sensors. For example, the indoor environment can be monitored and controlled optimally based on △temperature and humidity, △illumination △concentration of fine dust, carbon dioxide, and volatile hazardous substances measured by complex sensors installed for each space in the house./.
