At a working session with representatives from the Vietnam Union of Arts and Literature Associations, PM Chinh said literature and arts have profoundly and comprehensively reflected the guidelines of the Party and policies and laws of the State.

The PM also underlined the support of all-level Party Committees, authorities, organisations and people for the literature and arts circle.

He suggested the union and its members carry forward the solidarity, brainpower and the spirit of democracy to further promote Vietnamese literature and arts, meeting requirements and tasks in the new period.

The development of culture in general and literature and arts in particular should be on par with political and socio-economic development, with people viewed as the centre, target and momentum, PM Chinh said.

The PM asked the union to complete plans and programmes to perform its tasks and missions, for the nation and people.

The meeting is set to implement and concretise the Resolution adopted at the 13th National Party Congress and the results of the recent National Cultural Conference regarding literature and arts./.
