Local banks help cover credit for polyester fibre plant
Six banks and a financial institution
will join hands to provide credit worth 225 million USD for the
building of the Dinh Vu polyester fibre mill in the northern city of
Hai Phong.

Hai Phong.
An agreement on the financing was signed in Hanoi on August 10.
The lenders are the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), the Ocean Bank, the Vietnam Bank for Trade and Industry (VietinBank), the Vietnam-Russia Bank (VRB), the Military Bank (MB), the Vietnam International Bank (VIBank) and the PetroVietnam Financial Company (PVFC).
The 324.85 million USD Dinh Vu polyester fibre mill will, once operational in 2011, produce 500 tonnes of polyester fibre a day (175,000 tonnes a year).
Construction of the mill kicked off on May 18./.
