Local clinics to join in A/H1N1 testing
The Health Ministry said it will
examine local health clinics’ laboratory capacity to see if they are
qualified to test for the A/H1N1 virus as the workload has become a
burden on existing facilities.

The Ministry also said it will make public the names of the qualified clinics immediately after the examination so they can promptly provide testing services and help confirmed cases with right treatment.
The Ministry has so far organised training courses on testing for the A/H1N1 virus for health workers from 15 provinces and cities.
Thanks to that, in the south, the provinces of Tien Giang, Vung Tau, An Giang and Dong Nai have been able to conduct quick tests for the disease.
Meanwhile, only the preventive health centres of Thanh Hoa and Thai Binh provinces and the Thai Binh Medical College have been qualified to provide the service.
On September 17, the Department for Preventive Health and Environment confirmed 235 more cases of the virus, including 170 in the south, 38 in the north, 16 in the central region an 11 in the Central Highlands.
The new cases brought the total number of patients to 5,961 in 50 provinces and cities, with six deaths and 4,593 released from hospital./.
