Local company hands over platform topsides to Indian customer

The PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation launched and handed over the upper infrastructure of the HRD process platform to the Indian oil and gas company, ONGC, on November 29.
The PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation launched and handed overthe upper infrastructure of the HRD process platform to the Indian oiland gas company, ONGC, on November 29.

This is the biggest project in the field of building drilling platformsthat has been undertaken by a Vietnamese company so far.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai said theproject proves the skills of the PTSC staff, paving the way for them towinning more customers in the field.

The PTSC won the contract to build the 11,000 tonne structure in April last year.-VNA

Vietnam, RoK step up cooperation in transport infrastructure

Minh noted that in transport, the RoK is currently Vietnam’s second-largest bilateral donor. Since 1996, the Korean Government has provided significant capital for Vietnam’s transport infrastructure, with nine projects completed to date, totalling over 1 billion USD, and six others underway worth nearly 600 million USD.
