Long An province seeks partners in Japan

A high-level delegation from the Mekong Delta province of Long An concluded a visit to the prefectures of Fukuoka and Nagasaki on Kyushu Island in Japan, on June 24.

Vu Huy Mung, Vietnamese Consul General in Fukuoka, said that the visit was to strengthen mutual understanding and promote cooperative ties between Long An province and the island of Kyushu, especially in economy, trade and investment.

During their three-day visit, the delegation led by the chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Quoc Xuan, met with the Governor of Nagasaki province and Deputy Governor of Fukuoka province who both said they wished to strengthen ties with Vietnam in general and Long An province in particular.

A workshop to promote investment in Long An province was held during the visit and over 250 delegates from Fukuoka and Nagasaki showed a great deal of interest in the investment opportunities that Long An province has to offer./.
