Malaysian police said on September 14 that they arrested three suspects, including a Pakistani and two Malaysians over the Erawan shrine blast in Bangkok, Thailand last month.

Police Chief Khalid Abu Bakar said Malaysian police worked together with their Thai colleagues over the bomb attack and stated that the three suspects will help elucidate the case.

According to Bakar, the three suspects were arrested a few days ago but the official did not provide any further information on their identities.

Malaysian authorities do not have any plans to hand over the suspects to Thai police and will conduct an investigation themselves.

The explosion at the Erawan shrine on August 17 killed 20 people and injured more than 120 others. Thai authorities arrested two foreign suspects and are hunting many others in connection with the attack.-VNA
