Kuala Lumpur (VNA)Malaysia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on September 28 that citizens of the country are no longer allowed to visit the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) until further notice.

This decision was made amid tensions in the Korean peninsula and related developments arising from the DPRK’s missile tests.

The ministry said the ban will be reviewed when the situation returns to normal.

Malaysia’s national football team is set to play the DPRK’s team in Pyongyang on October 5 within the framework of the Asian Cup 2019, and it is unclear if the match will run as scheduled.-VNA
