Malaysia invests in city complex

Malaysia's Gamuda Land and local firm Sacomreal announced on Oct. 25 they would jointly develop the 215 million USD Celadon City complex in HCM City's Tan Phu district.
Malaysia's Gamuda Land and local firm Sacomreal announced on Oct.25 they would jointly develop the 215 million USD Celadon Citycomplex in HCM City's Tan Phu district.

The 82haCeladon City will be located about 3km from the Tan Son NhatInternational Airport . Dang Hong Anh, chairman of Sacomreal, saidthe project would have the city's largest green park and a constructiondensity of 20 percent.

The project will build around 7,000apartments, a trade centre, office buildings, schools, clinics, acultural house, playground and other sports facilities.

Gamuda Land, which will account for 60 percent of the totalinvestment, will also be in charge of construction and qualitymanagement, while Sacomreal will act as the project's exclusivedistributor./.

Domestic consumption up over 13%, tourism continues strong growth

The total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenues in August were estimated at 679.8 trillion VND (26 billion USD), up 1.6% from the previous month and 14.9% year-on-year. In the January-August period, the figure reached 5.24 quadrillion VND, representing a 13.3% increase year-on-year.

Hanoi moves to maintain appeal to FDI inflows

In the first eight months of 2026, the capital city attracted more than 3.7 billion USD in FDI, equivalent to 83% of the plan set for the year. Newly registered FDI exceeded 572 million USD across 450 projects, up 175.78% in project numbers and 209.46% in capital compared to the same period last year.
