Malaysia opened a Tourism Promotion Board representative office at 44B Ly Thuong Kiet street on Nov. 8.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Malaysian Tourism Minister Dato' Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen said, "Vietnam is one of Malaysia's main tourism markets. We expect to welcome 200,000 Vietnamese tourists in 2012."

She expressed her hope that the new office will help boost cooperation in tourism between the two countries.

Last week, Malaysia held a tourism fair at the Dao Sen golf course to popularise tour packages amongst players and travel agencies.

In 2012, attractive tourism services will be offered to local tourists who want to experience helicopter tours or to those interested in high-class journeys around Malaysia by land./.
