Malaysia praises Vietnamese midfielder Hung

Midfielder Nguyen Huy Hung was named man of the match when Vietnam played Malaysia in the ASEAN Football Federation-Suzuki Cup's semi-final's first leg, and could become one of the best midfielders in the ASEAN region, according to the Malaysian edition of goal.com.

Withan 80 percent passing accuracy, Hung was the instigator of Vietnams'scounterattacks. The speed with which Vietnam broke had the Malaysiansdefending in sixes and sevens and, Hung was pivotal.

The websitealso said that if Hung continues to develop, he will definitely becomeone of the best midfielders in the ASEAN region, but also perhaps athigher levels.

For the semi-final's second leg to be held atHanoi's My Dinh National Stadium on December 11, Japanese referees willofficiate over the game.

Experienced referee Toma Masaaki will bein charge. In November 2011, the 41-year-old became the first foreignreferee ever to be invited to officiate in a match in England's FA Cupwhen he was chosen to referee the First Round match between Brentfordand Basingstoke Town.-VNA

Hanoi launches project to build cultural industry hub in Old Quarter
