Visiting Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and Hanoi Party Committee Secretary Pham Quang Nghi on April 4 cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Yen So Park, built by Malaysian group Gamuda in Hanoi’s Hoang Mai district.
Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao said the 322-ha Yen So is the biggest and most beautiful park in the southern area of the city, contributing greatly to meeting local people’s demand for entertainment and relaxation. He promised to create the best possible conditions for Gamuda to carry out the next phase of its project in Hoang Mai district.
The group last year dredged five lakes at Yen So Park and handed over to Hanoi authorities a waste water treatment facility at the site.
Director General of Gamuda Land Vietnam, Cheong Ho Kuan, said the company, an affiliate of the Gamuda Malaysia Group, will go on to build two urban areas and a trade centre in Yen So.-VNA
