In another statement, Malaysian central bank - Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) announced that the country registered a 7% growth in the fourth quarter of 2022 while the previous quarter posted a growth of 14.2%.
BNM noted that the private sector’s activities remain the main driver of growth in the fourth quarter which has been supported by private consumption and investment.
Improved conditions for the recovery of the country’s labour market have helped keep private consumption growing./.
