Binh Duong (VNA) - The People’s Court of southern Binh Duong province on April 21 sentenced a man who caused a blast last year at the headquarters of the provincial Department of Taxation to 11 years behind bars.

Truong Duong was charged with “conducting terrorism acts against the people’s administration” under Article 113 of the 2015 Criminal Code, the first instance trial heard.

He received guidance from Lisa Pham, a member of a terrorist organisation called the “Provisional National Government of Vietnam”.

Duong must also pay compensation of over 800 million VND (34,000 USD) to the taxation department./.
