As the situation at the Fukushima nuclear power plant no 1 shows signs of improvement, many countries have lifted or eased restriction on activities in Tokyo , the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said. Up to April 20, of a total 32 countries that has closed after the incident, only four embassies – Angola , Burkina Faso , the Republic of Dominica and Kosovo – were yet to reopen.
Travel warnings against Japan in the United Kingdom and the US have been lifted while France cancelled recommendations on not staying in Tokyo and adjacent areas. However, the US and the UK still recommend their citizens evacuate from regions in the radius of 80 kilometres and 60 kilometres, respectively, from the Fukushima nuclear power plant./.
