Market fire burns down stores of overseas Vietnamese

A large fire broke out at Ba Coi market in Kazan city in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan, at approximately 3:55pm local time (8:55pm Vietnamese time) on October 13, destroying almost all the stores run by Overseas Vietnamese.

Andrey Rodygin from Tatarstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said the 1,000m2 market was rapidly engulfed by flames.

Initial reports said the incident caused damage to property to the amount of tens of millions of Russian Ruble.

So far, no casualties have been reported.

Russian officials said an investigation would be conducted once the fire is contained.-VNA
