Memories of historic war-torn trail

An exhibition featuring the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, or Truong Son Trail, has opened at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi. On display are 100 documents and photos highlighting the establishment of the historical path along with the strong vitality of people throughout wartime.

Major General Võ Sở, Chairman of the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Traditional Association of Vietnam, is 96 years old but still vividly remembers the times he and his comrades fought on the fierce battlefield 65 years ago.

The exhibition features stories about the Truong Son Trail and highlights the strategic significance of the decision by the Politburo and the Central Military Commission to open up the Trail.

The exhibition aims to bring visitors a realistic view of the legendary line of fire, as well as arouse national pride among the people.

The exhibition is open until May 31./.
