Military officers promoted to Senior Lieutenant General
Deputy Minister of Defence Hoang Xuan Chien and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Le Huy Vinh have been promoted from the rank of Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General.
Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong hands over promotion decisions to Deputy Minister of Defence Hoang Xuan Chien and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Le Huy Vinh (Source: VNA)Hanoi (VNA) - Deputy Minister of Defence Hoang Xuan Chien and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Le Huy Vinh have been promoted from the rank of Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General.
Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, who is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Chairman of the National Defence and Security Council and head of the armed forces, handed over the promotion decisions to the officers at a ceremony in Hanoi on October 16.
Chien said that he and Vinh are proud of receiving their promotions, stressing that it’s also a source of pride for their families and the Vietnam People’s Army.
Chien added they will overcome all challenges to fulfil missions entrusted by the Party, State, and Military./.
